It’s not a toy. it’s a collectible high detail staue od Davy jones suitable even for display in your dining room. it has quite a few joints of articulation and too heavy to be a toy

It’s Positive points :

1. Extremely high detail
2. Extremely high production quality
3. Unexpectedly durable for such an item
4. Very good & strong stand
5. Voice which is not a big deal

It’s negative points and causes that indicate that it could not be a toy:

1. Few joints of articulation
2. Particularly heavy
3. a wierd smell

I consider myself a G.I. Joe collector. I still have all of my Joes and vehicles from the 80’s, and I collect the videos, comic books, and even the cheap G.I. Joe knock offs from India (the cheap knock-offs from India are quite close to the quality of the “new” joes).
The fact that Hasbro is re-releasing the original joes with the original cover art is quite pleasing (I’m sure that Hasbro is going for the nostolgic father market who are trying to find an excuse to buy joes again). What is NOT pleasing is the absolute lack of Quality control: I noticed that the paint was inconsistant and sloppy, the plastic cheap, and the figures far too fragile. I am also not a fan of the updated look to the figurines…some are decent and some are plain ridiculous and out of porportion.
Here is is an idea for Hasbro…use the same cover art, the same original characters, with the same molds and plastic.

Be warned there quality control if you call it that is really bad now. I bought a lot of halo 3 series 1 figures 75% of them has defects people will notice. Most of the defects are for the Master Chiefs & Mark VIs. The rest of the line is in top shape. There is also a error in the orange grunt they glued the mask to the head. So do not do what i did break the mask & jaw off trying to get it off. The Green one comes off like it should. 30% of the defects i got are real bad the rest i can deal with. I suggest buying locally so you can actually look for broken hands or limbs. Also keep eyes out for mold defects & sections not painted or wrong paint on them.

Just a side note they are switching all there lines to cardboard packaging no more of the old ones. There goes buying them to collect sealed.
